Tucked away among towering cottonwoods, aspens, pines, and elms, Artist’s Retreat is our most secluded cabin, a peaceful hideaway surrounded by nature. With its own private garden, beautiful mountain views, and a cedar Japanese Ofuro soaking tub beneath the star-filled New Mexico sky, it’s a favorite for romantic escapes, honeymoons, creative retreats, and families seeking a little extra privacy.
The cabin features a bedroom with a king bed, a sun porch with a full bed, and a comfortable living room with a sofa bed and an additional rollaway twin. A fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, propane stove, dishwasher, and dining table for four. The bathroom features a bathtub and shower with beautiful mosaic details created by a local artist.
Outside, enjoy leisurely afternoons in the hammock, meals from the outdoor grill, or quiet evenings beneath the stars. A private garden with outdoor seating offers plenty of room to unwind, while a shared wood-fired barrel sauna is just steps away.
The cabin is heated by a combination of wood stove, propane, and electric heat, keeping it cozy throughout the seasons. The historic barn and farm animals are just a five-minute walk away, close enough to enjoy the life of the farm while still feeling wonderfully tucked away.
Life on the Farm
Nestled on 40 acres in the beautiful San Cristobal Valley, at the edge of the Columbine-Hondo Wilderness, Taos Goji is an organic goji berry farm and eco-lodge where history, nature, and the simple pleasures of farm life come together.
Wander through the old apple orchard, explore the gardens, relax in a hammock, or spend time with our friendly farm animals. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared hot tubs and saunas, outdoor grill, playground, and spacious open-air barn, a favorite gathering place for sunset dinners beneath the wide New Mexico sky.
Seasonal vegetables and fresh farm eggs are available when the farm is producing.
Surrounded by mountains, open skies, and extraordinary natural beauty, the farm feels wonderfully removed from the everyday, yet the town of Taos is just a 15 minute scenic drive away. Taos Ski Valley and Red River are both approximately 20 miles from the property, offering easy access to skiing, hiking, and year-round outdoor adventures.
Good to know: Life here moves at a slower pace. Nights are intentionally quiet and beautifully dark, making for exceptional stargazing. Cell service is limited in the valley, and Wi-Fi may occasionally be interrupted during storms. The fire pit may only be used with prior management approval.
